How to Create Your Life Purpose
October 28, 2015

Heeelllloooooo Faallllllll!!!!!  If you live anywhere near where I live here in Texas, you know how wonderful it is to say those two words.  I know that it turned fall weeks ago, but it hasn’t really FELT like fall here in Texas.

So the fact that we aren’t having to turn on our A/C, is AMAZING!  I mean look at the view from my office!  Window’s down, blanket wrapped, football on….YES!!!

fall

Isn’t it fascinating how everything in life has its own distinct purpose and season?

Think about it, even those ANNOYING mosquitoes serve as food for certain types of algae.  That’s right.  They have a purpose too!!

There are 7.125 BILLION people on Earth.

So then, why do so many think they don’t have a purpose?  Or even more so, some know that they have purpose but don’t try to figure it out.

Now I know that neither of these are you.  You wouldn’t be reading this if you if you didn’t think that you had a purpose.  However, you might be more like I used to be.  I spent a long time trying to figure out just what my life-purpose is.

You might follow me on other forms of social media.  If you do, then you know that I’m doing a periscope series this week on “How to Create Your Life Purpose”.

Today, I’m sharing a video clip that gets its inspiration from one of my favorite stories in the Bible: David and Goliath.

There are so many lessons that can be drawn from that story.  Click the link below to get the full scoop on how this Bible story can truly change your life.

Just incase you missed my scope from earlier! “How to Turn Passion into Purpose”

Just a quick recap:

  1. Don’t allow fear to keep you from following God’s commands
  2. Stop blocking yourself by your perception of your physical capabilities
  3. Focusing on your strengths can lead to building God’s kingdom which IS your purpose

I heard a quote today by John Maxwell that said,

“If there’s HOPE in our future, there’s POWER in our past”.  Tweet:

So beautifully put!  We no longer have to run from what we think we aren’t.  We can live in what God says that we ARE!  The more we obey Him, the closer we get to doing what we love, which is honoring Him and building His kingdom by using our strengths.

As I said in the video, I’m going forward with my series and will be giving steps of action to take to get yourself into position to play at your strengths.  Be sure to catch me at 12:30 p.m. on the Periscope App or watch my replay HERE on my Facebook page.  I would love to answer any of your questions!

Today’s Think Tank

What skills do you enjoy that you are really good at?  Drawing?  Speaking?  Painting?  Now, tell me, how can God use that skill to grow His kingdom?  I can’t wait to hear what from you and see if we can come up with ideas together.  As always, I’ll pray for you to grow in your purpose, and I ask that you pray as I grow in mine.  Until next time, BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING!

XOXO,

Kim
